AMAZING LAS VEGAS COMIC CON returns to the South Point Hotel and Casino in less than 2 months. While we march to the opening bell of the convention on June 20, it appears that the guests of the AMAZING LAS VEGAS COMIC CON are rising stars in their own right. *CHEW from Image Comics has been announced as upcoming ANIMATED TV SERIES. Production has started with the Voice Actors, which include The Walking Dead’s Steven Yeun and The Guild’s Felicia Day. Get the inside scoop from CHEW creator JOHN LAYMAN. He’s making one of the US appearances at AMAZING LAS VEGAS COMIC CON!
*GEORGE PEREZ might have had BEST WEEK EVER – Warner Brothers announce that CYBORG has been included, and cast for the upcoming SUPERMAN v BATMAN movie. As you may know, Cyborg was created by George Perez as the centerpiece for his New Teen Titans classic run in the 1980s. This is the second character that Perez has created that is linked to the movie- we’re still waiting for that NIGHTWING announcement! You can meet Headline Guest all three days of AMAZING LAS VEGAS COMIC CON
*WOLVERINE is definitely NOT having the BEST WEEK EVER- Entertainment Weekly has reported that X-Men leading mutant bites the dust in September. This is comic books though, and any NERD can tell you- N- nothing E- ever R- really D- dies
But here’s the silver lining- AMAZING LAS VEGAS COMIC CON guest CHARLES SOULE has landed the storytelling gig, as he writes the mini series WOLVERINE DIES! Charles Soule will be featured at the comic con along with Wolverine Creators Len Wein and Herb Trimpe, and fan favorite Origin artist- Adam Kubert!
*SUPREME’s RETURN – Image Comics had another HUGE announcement over Easter Weekend with the return of SUPREME. Part of the early wave of the Image Revolution, Supreme comes back courtesy of Warren Ellis. Expect a bold direction much in same vein of critically acclaimed PROPHET and SAGA. Get the scoop on this project from the creator of Supreme, ROB LIEFELD, the Headline guest to AMAZING LAS VEGAS COMIC CON!
*DREAM GIGS– while growing up, could you ever imagine that you might be working on your most favorite characters, bringing your toys and tv characters to life? *BACK IN THE GAME– Karl Altstaetter has been working in the comics game, first as an assistant to Jim Lee when working on his X-Men run, with memorable runs of Extreme Comics at Image, and his creator owned series Diety in the 90s. After working in the toy industry for a number of years, Karl is back creating comics with his new creator owned series ME2. Originally part of MTV’s internet launch,Karl has put together a micro premium print run of ME2 first offered at Wondercon last week, but will be back for AMAZING LAS VEGAS COMIC CON.
