AMAZING COMIC CON ANNOUNCES ANOTHER ROUND of TOP CREATORS, All Las Vegas Local!
As the push towards June’s destination convention in Las Vegas continues, Amazing Comic Con unleashes another great batch of top comic creators. With an artist alley and main floor spanning over 250 writers and artists, Amazing Comic Con represents the very best selection spanning local favorites with mainstream superstars, representing a fusion of different styles and more!
CHAD HARDIN grew up in Las Vegas, and returns to the Amazing Comic Con. He is best known for a lengthy run on HARLEY QUINN, collaborating with Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner on both the DC52 series, along with the launch of the Rebirth. In addition to his work on Harley, Chad has extensive cover work for DC Comics on TEEN TITANS and more!
STEVEN GRANT is a prolific writer who has worked with just about every publisher. At Marvel Comics, he brought the PUNISHER into prominence, writing his first solo adventures in the Circle of Blood. Other titles for Marvel include Avengers, Defenders, Incredible Hulk. He co-wrote the mini series CONTEST OF CHAMPIONS. In his prolific career, Grant created The Whisper, adapted Frank Miller’s Robocop screenplays for Comics, and wrote CSI LAS VEGAS for IDW. And more recently created 2 GUNS for Boom which was adapted into a movie starring Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg. Steven Grant is a resident of LAS VEGAS and makes his first appearance at Amazing Comic Con.
ASHLEIGH POPPLEWELL is a Las Vegas resident, whose work may be familiar to many. She has been dazzling audiences with her work on every major trading card series, from Upperdeck, Topps, Cyptozoic, and more. Ashleigh has worked on properties such properties like Walking Dead, Star Wars, Hobbit, Doctor Who, and Avengers. Ashleigh Popplewell is known for her photorealism, blended with fantasty. Look for Ashleigh on the programming schedule as she will have a Creator Spotlight/Drawing Demo.
DERYL SKELTON is a comic artist with deep connections to the las Vegas comic scene. A friendly face, available for commissions, art prints, and more, Deryl receives a special spotlight this season as his body of work is the major theme of this year’s Amazing Comic Con event- Thanos & Infinity Gauntlet. Skelton provided fill ins for Lim on Silver Surfer during the major crossovers and pinch hit for Warlock & Infinity Watch. These issues are collected in recent tpbs from Marvel.
