AMAZING LAS VEGAS COMIC CON GUEST SPOTLIGHT: ROY THOMAS
Amazing Comic Con believes the best in pop culture BEGINS with comic books. We believe in showcasing the creators- the Architects of Pop Culture- at our fan friendly expo, and we are thrilled with our first wave of guests coming to Las Vegas September 16-17-18.
Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con welcomes Hall of Fame Talent ROY THOMAS!
Roy Thomas is responsible for shaping the modern landscape of Marvel by co-creating the most memorable characters and storylines in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. Roy Thomas ushered in the AGE OF ULTRON in the pages of the AVENGERS; BLACK PANTHER was added to the line-up; VISION was created and started his relationship with the SCARLET WITCH; and Big Screen cast members such as VALKYRIE and BLACK KNIGHT first appeared.
Under Roy Thomas, Marvel’s Most memorable Mutant- WOLVERINE was born in the pages of Hulk, CAROL DANVERS was in the pages of Captain Marvel, GHOST RIDER was reimagined, LUKE CAGE became a Hero for Hire with the IRON FIST, and ADAM WARLOCK transformed.
This barely scratches the surface of Roy Thomas’ contributions to pop culture. Roy kicked off the sword and sorcery movement with CONAN. Perhaps Thomas’ most instramental move was securing the license to STAR WARS to Marvel Comics- and saving the publisher- while adapting the George Lucas screenplay and adding new adventures to the saga.
Meet Legendary Creator ROY THOMAS at the Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con. He will be available on Friday and Saturday of the convention, meeting fans, signing autographs, and appearing on panels.
