With DEADPOOL/WOLVERINE charging into the Cinema in the summer, Amazing Comic Con provides a special interactive pop-up event celebrating all things from the Marvel Comic series the X-Men
X-Men is experiencing a renaissance, with a new family of titles launching from publisher Marvel Comics and a hit animated program streaming on Disney+. And while fans of all ages are rediscovering the franchise, Amazing Comic Con is bringing the real life creators behind the Marvel Mutants. Please welcome LARRY F. HOUSTON
Larry F. Houston is the Emmy-nominated Producer/Director of THE X-MEN Animated show, the phenomenally successful 90s series that expanded the scope and laid the foundation for Marvel's multi-billion dollar mutant franchise globally. He is responsible for the iconic opening theme sequence for The X-Men, the song and images burned forever in the minds of fandom!
Larry Houston is key figure in the history of modern animation. In addition to his massive contributions to the X-men, he was hired by Filmation Studios as the first African-American Saturday Morning Storyboard Artist. Larry worked as a Storyboard Artist on some of the favorite 80s and 90s classic shows like: Thundarr, Spiderman and his Amazing Friends, ExoSquad, Transformers, Spawn, Mr. T, Batman, Real Ghostbusters, Conan, Swamp Thing, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mighty Orbots, Bionic Six, Visionaries, Hulk, and Defenders of the Earth. He was also the Director of Captain Planet, GI Joe, Fantastic Four, The Karate Kid, Real Adventures of Jonny Quest, RoboCop, Kid N Play, The Care Bears on CBS Saturday Mornings and three (3) Care Bear Movies. Additionally, the inspiring GI Joe Movie Intro were both drawn by Larry, as well as The Karate Kid.
Larry Houston brought the Marvel Universe to a new generation of fans through his work, and expanded audiences. He directed the first two animated appearances of the Black Panther, first in the 90's X-MEN series followed by the first fully animated episode, "Prey of the Black Panther", in the second season of The Fantastic Four.
Larry Houston will be appearing at the LAS VEGAS FAN EXPERIENCE at the Plaza Hotel in Downtown Las Vegas. He will be a featured creator as part of our extensive X-Men Line-up where he will be signing autographs, and meeting fans on each of the days- Friday August 9 and Saturday August 10.
Tickets for LAS VEGAS FAN EXPERIENCE will be going on sale starting June25. Single Day Admissions and Full Weekend Passes will be available as well as VIP and Premium Packages.
